Gutsy is built with privacy in mind. Your meal data never leaves your device. Only meal photos are temporarily processed by AI to detect plant ingredients.
📸 Photos
When you log a meal, the photo you take is temporarily sent to Google’s Gemini API to identify plant-based ingredients. The photo is not stored on our servers and is not linked to your identity.
🗂️ Meal data
Your logged meals, plant counts, and diversity scores are stored locally on your device only using SwiftData. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any server.
We do not collect:
Gutsy uses Google’s Gemini API solely for meal photo analysis. Your photos are not stored or used for any other purpose.
Meal photos are used only to detect plant ingredients and are not stored, sold, or shared. All personal meal data stays on your device.
Gutsy is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
